Using your iCash card
You can use your iCash card everywhere MasterCard® is accepted electronically (it won't work with the old 'zip zap' machines). That means you can use it to pay for things online, over the phone and in stores, in New Zealand and overseas.
Shopping
Your iCash card works just like a credit card.
Although it's not a credit card, you'll need to select 'credit' before entering your PIN into the EFTPOS terminal. Because your card has a chip, retailers may keep your card in the EFTPOS terminal while you enter your PIN and the transaction is processed. This is a normal procedure for a card with this security feature.
Online
Your iCash card is perfect for buying things online. Just follow the same instructions as for paying by credit card.
Withdrawing cash
Come into any National Bank branch if you need to withdraw cash and we'll be happy to help. If you can't get to a National Bank branch, you can withdraw cash at any ATM. The fee for all cash withdrawals is $3.*
* Banks and other financial institutions who own ATMs may charge fees for using them. At the time of the transaction, the ATM should disclose the fee amount and require you to accept the fee before you can complete your transaction.
